Comics legend Joe Kubert has passed away at the age 85.

Kubert is a legend in the industry for his large body of work: Sgt. Rock, Hawkman, Tor, Son of Sinbad, Viking Prince, and Fax from Sarajevo, just to name a few.

But perhaps Kubert’s biggest contribution to comics came with the establishment of the Kubert School in 1976, devoted to training artists in cartooning and graphic art.
